The Current General Scholarship Opportunities page will be updated continuously throughout the school year, when new scholarship opportunities become available. These scholarships are generally more competitive, as they review a larger pool of applicants. These scholarships also vary in due date, as well as the application process.
Make sure to double check:
- you have completed all required documents needed when applying,
- you are giving recommendation letter writers enough time to complete their letter,
- and whether you complete the application online, email or return to the Guidance Office for additional attachments.
While majority of these scholarship opportunities are legitimate, there are scammers who try to take advantage of students looking to help fund their education. Local Scholarships, only available to Deerfield Community High School students, will be available in late February. Information regarding scholarship offerings, application procedures and requirements will be sent out shortly before the link is active.
If you know the area of study you will be pursuing after school, please email Mrs. Saari, and she will let you know if she comes upon a scholarship that applies to you. If you need assistance, information or a transcript, please contact Mrs. Saari in the Guidance Office for help!
