Second Grade Email Phone: 608.764.5442 Welcome to second grade! My name is Mrs. Thomas. I graduated from Northern Illinois University with my Masters in Elementary Education in 2000. I have been teaching second grade at Deerfield Elementary School since 2001. I enjoy getting to know my students and their families. It is exciting to see such enthusiasm in children this age. They experience so much growth in a year! My husband and I have lived in Lake Mills since 2000, but have enjoyed summers there long before that. My older son and his wife just moved back to Wisconsin from Arizona. He has a job in Financial Planning. My younger son is a junior at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He's majoring in Computer Science. We adopted our sweet, energetic puppy last February. She is a hound mix and is about 10 months old. Some of my favorite things are traveling, hiking, biking, boating, reading, and teaching! I look forward to learning about your child and their special interests.
