ES Computers/Tech Integration Email Phone: 608.764.5442 My name is Cindy Perucco and I have been teaching in Deerfield since 2006. I have been a 3rd/4th grade classroom teacher for most of that time, but I am excited to currently be focusing on technology for the district. This year, I will be teaching Kindergarten - 6th grade computer classes, as well as serving as the district technology integration specialist.
I am originally from Upper Michigan and still spend many weekends and summer days enjoying the beauty of the UP. I completed my undergraduate work at Northern Michigan University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, with minors in Music, Fine Arts, and Math in 2004. I completed my graduate work at Walden University, earning a master's degree in Integrating Technology in the Classroom in 2010.
I student taught in Auckland, New Zealand for a semester, which was a great experience that has helped me to identify with diverse cultures in my own classroom. I finished up my student teaching in Houghton, Michigan. Then I taught in inner-city Charlotte, North Carolina and rural Nicollet, Minnesota before coming to Deerfield. Deerfield is a great community with great kids - I love coming to work every day!
I live in Cambridge with my husband Brett, daughters Ellia and Annika, son Alden, our dog Delilah, and the occasional foreign exchange student. I enjoy spending time with my family up in Michigan, chasing after my children, reading, traveling, kayaking, biking, and attending Deerfield vs. Johnson Creek sporting events (Brett is a high school teacher for Johnson Creek Schools, so we have a little family rivalry).
I'm looking forward to another great year of learning with all of our students!
